The writing for the album began in earnest throughout 2014 to early 2015. Recording took place between 24 September 2015 to 26th May 2016. Damon, as before, tracked all his drums at his home studio, quite separate from Pete's sessions.

After much consideration he began talks with, and ultimately signed with Artic February 7th 2017. After many months of talks, which resulted in the albums release being put back three times, Pete decided he wanted the contract voided. As of the 21st August 2017 Pete was a free agent again.
