Damon Roots Damon was born in Leamington, England and now lives in Solihull. His musical exploits started in the local marching band when he was 13 years old. A band which saw him compete at a national level all over the UK. Whilst studying at university, he took a brief break from playing, but picked the sticks up again in the early 2000's and formed the pop-punk trio The Fatal Mistake. After a couple of independently released EP's the debut album 'Die Trying' was released on Modern Music/Sony BMG. Shortly after, however, the band went on a hiatus for 12 years. They reformed in 2016 to write and record the as yet untitled second album, which will be released in 2018. In 2006, Damon was put in touch with Pete, after he inquired at Thin Ice Studio's into whether Karl Groom knew of any projects that were looking for a drummer. Karl gave him Pete's contact details, and so it was, he was drafted, initially as session player, to record the drums on My Soliloquy's 3rd E.P. 'Esoterica' in January 2007.
The sessions went well and Damon was recruited for the subsequent UK tour too. Now a full time member, Damon recorded drums on the bands debut album 'The Interpreter' and the band's latest release, 'Engines of Gravity'. In addition to these recordings, he has also recorded drums for Liverpool artist Maxi Dunn, and Coventry-based artists Callum Pickard and The Fallows. More recently he has also joined forces with Kevin Hide in the Coventry based power metal band Barbikan.
